What is this app for?
Spelloom helps you learn words in another language through flashcards and interactive exercises. Spaced repetition brings each word back at the right time so it is easier to remember.
Who is Spelloom for?
Spelloom is designed for learners at every level, from beginner to advanced. It also gives teachers a simple way to create word lists and share them with students.
How does learning work in the app?
Start by browsing words from a level or topic and mark each one as “I know” or “Learn.” New words move into a series of practice exercises. They then return for review at gradually increasing intervals, helping them stay in your long-term memory.
When is a word marked as learned?
A word moves to the “Learned” category after you complete every stage of its review correctly.
What types of exercises are available?
Exercises include multiple-choice translation, building words from letters, typing answers, listening with audio or video, and pronunciation practice.
Why do words return after I mark them as learned or tap “I know”?
That is spaced repetition at work. Spelloom occasionally brings the word back for a quick review. If you make a mistake, it moves back one stage and appears more often until your recall is reliable again.
How do I choose a level?
Choose one of five levels, from beginner to advanced, or study several levels at once. You can also focus on specific topics. The Word Bank lets you preview each list and see how many words are new to you. You can change your level or topics at any time.
